This has been amazing. I was\u00a0recently\u00a0involved\u00a0with Springs Preserve plant sale. It was fun to man a both and put a salespersons cap on for a bit (I am more suited for\u00a0field\u00a0work, I think). I just keep\u00a0gaining\u00a0new\u00a0experiences\u00a0and meeting new\u00a0wonderful\u00a0people. Allison and I have been going out to monitor our\u00a0different\u00a0field\u00a0sites, but the dry winter\u00a0hasn’t\u00a0help. We got some rain in the\u00a0Mojave\u00a0this weekend and\u00a0maybe we will get lucky.<\/p>\n
We\u00a0recently took a trip in the\u00a0field\u00a0with Great Basin Institute interns to help collect some juniper berries. It was a great learning\u00a0experience to see exactly how the\u00a0different\u00a0forms were filled out as well as all of the steps\u00a0involved\u00a0in with the SOS program. I am looking forward to the official training next week at Red Rock.<\/p>\n
On a personal note, this area is\u00a0awesome. I have been to Red Rock, Zion,\u00a0Valley\u00a0of Fire, and I am taking a trip to San Diego next week to see the Phils. I would have never had the opportunity to do so much in such a short amount of time if not for this program. I hope and expect to keep learning and\u00a0gaining\u00a0new\u00a0experience each week.<\/p>\n
