It is not uncommon to hear people suggest that Nevada is a hot, barren desert…<\/p>\n
As I take a few minutes to reflect upon my experiences here in Carson City, I am challenged to reconsider my own perceptions of Nevada.\u00a0 While Nevada can be a hot, barren desert, it is so\u00a0much more.\u00a0\u00a0My experiences over the past\u00a0three months have provided numerous opportunities to interact with\u00a0several of\u00a0Nevada’s social, cultural, and ecological features,\u00a0each providing me with\u00a0so-called “food for thought.”\u00a0 Nevada, like any other place, is directly influenced by the decisions that people make.\u00a0\u00a0Here,\u00a0these\u00a0decisions are often demonstrated as the conflict between\u00a0restoring native plants\u00a0and grazing.\u00a0 But, this is not the whole story…<\/p>\n
