<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">\u00a0(<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><i>Castilleja lasioryncha<\/i>, San Bernardino Mountains owl\u2019s clover)<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><i> <\/i>and <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><i>Phacelia mohavensis <\/i>(Mojave phacelia) \u2013 occur in this area. <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">\u00a0As another part of this project, we\u2019re also training members of the Urban Conservation Corps (UCC) to use GPS mapping units.<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">We\u2019ve been continuing to edit and gather comments on our guide to non-native invasive plants of the southern California mountains, which will be printed in the fall.<span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">\u00a0 Here and there I\u2019ve been doing other monitoring, surveys, and mapping, and especially revisiting older occurrences of some of our threatened and endangered species.<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">\u00a0 That included some locations of the adorable <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><i>Physaria kingii <\/i>subsp. <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><i>bernardina <\/i>(San Bernardino Mtns. bladderpod).<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><i>Botrychiums <\/i>should be appearing soon in many of our meadows, and I\u2019m excited about looking for them!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;
