Hello CLMi,<\/p>\n
I must admit I don’t have much to report, as shortly after the happenings in my last post, I headed home for the holidays.\u00a0 NISIMS, AKEPIC, herbarium specimens and ArcGIS have sunk into a winter hibernation while I enjoy the holidays with family and friends and warmth–oh–well–maybe not that.\u00a0 But the sun comes out here which is great.<\/p>\n
I leave you with some delightful poetry from one of our AKEPIC coordinators:<\/p>\n
\u2018Twas a day before Christmas, and the ListServ was quiet
\nno EDRR to stir up a riot.
\nOur data was snug, tucked into their (spread)sheets
\nready for upload and the server to meet.<\/i><\/p>\n
Their formatting was perfect, their codes had been checked
\nrecords of infestations, through which we had trekked.
\nSo, thanks to the weed warriors who continue to fight;
\nWeed-free Christmas to all, and to all a good night!<\/i><\/p>\n
