Life at the BLM BFO

Its me! In all my PPE (personal protective equipment), that is a helmet, gloves. goggles and long sleeves.

Me, Lydia, and Alyssa, otherwise known as the Range Interns! We are in the UTV we use to get to most of our sites these days, since were finished with the ones we could hike to.

The Bighorn Mountains as seen from the Clear Creek Trails in Buffalo WY. I took this photo as an evening storm was blowing in.

The Grand Tetons as seen on the Fourth of July camping trip I took. 4 day weekends yay!

Devils Tower! Alien visitation hot spot (according to the Gift Shop and close encounters of the third kind) and 867 feet of awesome!

A Bee on Showy Milkweed flowers on the Clear Creek Trail.

Somewhere on the Jenny lake trail in Grand Tetons you can look up and see this beauty.

Yellowstone Lake in the sunset. It really is worth the drive out.

And lastly a glimpse into our daily lives- this is Alyssa (she knew I was taking this, she just didn’t know when and I have permission to post this). She sleeps on the way to and from every site every day.

Well its the third month of my internship here in Buffalo WY and it is beautiful here.  In my time here I have already seen the Bighorn and Grand Teton mountain ranges as well as Devils tower. Since they are only next door, 6 hours and 2 hours away respectively.  Its definitely been fun here so far! we’ve gone camping a few times and get to ride a UTV to a good amount of our sites. I just wish our apartment had AC. It is hot in the Wild West.
